Other:

When Sunny sent word that she had a pair of Walkaloosa's I decided that I simply MUST have a foal from them.
Teryx is the first from this cross and is already booked to Brandy for her first "date".

We have every expectation that KSMH will return with Main Book Certified for her.
UPDATE: Teryx is now the 2nd Certified Mare in the Main KSMH Book; CF Snowball is the 1st.

Quick Fact: The Archaeopteryx is largely considered to be the first bird and is the Boss's favorite "dinosaur".
"Urvogel" is German for "first bird" and is sometimes used in place of the scientific nomenclature for the Teryx.

*Genetic Notes: Splash2 has been documented in Appaloosas and is known to have a minimal expression. Her snip and sock are caused by this gene.
S2 is currently believed to be homozygous lethal.

Congenital Stationary Night Blindness is a genetic disorder carried on the Leopard Complex gene (LP). All Appaloosa marked horses will be at least carriers for the condition and horses which are homozygous (Fewspot and Snowcap) will be affected. A horse affected by CSNB will be functionally blind in dark areas, such as dim stables and arenas, and at night. Other than the natural risks involved with having a blind horse, CSNB horses bear no other negative health effects from the disorder.

As a Walkaloosa she can be crossed on QH, Appy, Walkie, and TB studs for Appy foals.
As a Walkaloosa she can be crossed on Arab and Anglo studs for dual Araloosa and Appy foals.
As a Walkaloosa she can be crossed on NzP studs for dual NzP and Appy foals.
As a Walkaloosa she can be crossed on QH, Appy, Walkie, TB, Arab, Anglo, and NzP studs for Walkaloosa foals.
As KSMH she can be crossed on AKM and KSMH studs for Main-book eligible foals.
As KSMH all her foals are at least Appendix-Eligible, regardless of sire.
