Celeste was gentled in the wild on the first attempt. She is from the same herd as Moon Kissed.
Celeste is our first Silver.

Being uncertain as to her bloodstock we decided to have her tested for pretty much everything. Very happy to report that Celeste is clear for all testable conditions.



Celeste was seen by Andy to be Racking at liberty one day; her conformation has enabled her to be Main Book registered at KSMH, but her status as a wild resulted in Approved rather than Certified declaration. With the approval of the Registry Celeste was branded on her left shoulder.

With the advent of genetic testing for the "gaiting gene" Celeste's papers have been upgraded. She is now Main Book Certified!



Celeste is a Leo and fancies herself a songwriter; too bad she's tone deaf.



Genetic Notes:

Splash is known to cause both white tail and blue eyes. Splash is also known to be able to be so minimally expressed that the horse
exhibits zero white even though the gene mutation is present.


Anterior Segment Dysgenesis has been associated with the Silver Dapple color mutation. As there are some non-Silver horses with this condition, as well as some Silver's without it, ASD is of great interest to researchers. It should also be noted that not every horse with ASD will have symptoms. Celeste bears no markers of the condition, and has been built to be ASD-clear.
