Barn 3: Breeding Shed

The Broodmare and Foal Barn. AKA "The Nursery." You may look, but please do not touch as some mommas and babies can be a bit nervous.

Please do not feed the lovely ladies in residence as they are on carefully prescribed diets. Nutrition is vitally important to a broodmare and any treats must be pre-approved through the shed manager and the farm vet.

Latest Mare News:

Please welcome our newest mare, Marscay's Princess! This very well-bred member of the La Troienne tailline (1-x) comes to us all the way from sunny Down Under. Much gratitude to Foxie's Lodge for sending this lovely lady our way.

Spring 2012: The Foals have arrived!! 3 colts and 2 fillies make us one proud "Mama barn". Weaning time has come and gone and all the boarders have gone home, though Jewel Princess and Tout Charmant will be hanging around a little while longer. Please walk softly so the foals don't spook.

September 2012: It's that time of year. The foals are weaned and preparations have begun to move them to the yearling barn. As smart as she is, "Sassy" has figured out something is up and is watching the activity with a wary eye.

Dec 2012: Our Maiden Joins the broodmare band for the 2012-2013 season. She will be standing to Perfect Goer just as soon as she moves over from Barn 2.

The 2012 foals are now yearlings and have been given new stalls and new handlers for Christmas. Feel free to visit them in Barn 1.

Glenmore has offered us Rose, but her asking price is a bit out of our range just yet. We're still in negotiations and hope to be able to add her to our herd for 2012-2013.
